Zine

I took the story route when creating my Zine called Adonis.  For my color theme I used watered down neutrals and different variations of blue. I used watercolor, mechanical pencils, and pens for my mediums. I wanted sort of a sloppy look so I didn't worry too much about doing the ¨wrong¨ thing. My goal with this was to try and make it mine and something that I enjoy looking at. I do enjoy it and am glad with how it turned out. one thing I would change is that I wish I couldve used the watercolor to get a cooler effect with the paints. It was sort of difficult using the paints on this paper but it still turned out alright. I learned about working with anatomy more through this by drawing the feet and hands.

GeoFlix

For the Geo Flix I had to digitize my name and 10 items that sorta represent me/ things I like. I used Adobi illustrator to change my pen drawings to digital art. Some of the things in Geoflix are art from the cover of my favorite albums and foods I  enjoy. I also used some of my past art for it. Also, I added a bumblebee because the rusty patch bee is endangered and thats upsetting. By doing this it taught me about making art using computers and I learned a little bit about Adobe. I didn't exactly Have a vision for how I wanted it to look like at the end because I really didn't know what to expect while using a computer for this.

Linocut

Pet illustration

In my self portrait linocut I made it slightly abstract. The steps we had to take for it was we had to carve out the white space of these rubber blocks.  I didn't know what it would look like until I finished, it was really exciting to add the ink to it and print it onto the paper. If I could change anything I wouldnt scrape as much white space out in the background so that there would be more of an impact of the white space scraped out of the face. I really enjoyed making this and I would 100 percent use this tactic in art in the future.

Pet illustraion

For this project, I digitized my dogs face using Adobi.  We had to break up the face using the pen tool and fill it in using the eyedrop feature. This piece helped me try to put as much effort into things at the beginning as I do in the end since sometimes that's difficult to do when you're doing artwork that might take a bit longer. I learned a ton from doing this. One thing I learned was how many color variations there are in what seems to be just one color.

Drypoint Etching

when i was looking at reference photos I wanted something I could maybe have fun with and make a lot of lines. To make this artwork I scraped it out on plastic and then stamped it out on another piece of paper. Something that was difficult was making circles/ curves while scraping. Overall I don't really enjoy this peice. I wish i could of got more value on the shingles/ house and chose more carefully where to use the lines instead of just going crazy. I do enjoy the process of Etching though.

Poster

for my poster assignment I did the movie the bridge on the river kwai. I made this using Adobi illustrator. I learned a lot about using the software. Other posters on this movie gave me some inspiration for this one. I really enjoyed how this turned out I think it needs a tiny bit of cleaning up.
